At the top end of the game I imagine people have a LOT of space money kicking about and no real time to use it - making them demotivated and play the game less often. This is why I think we should be able to compete directly with the bank by giving out loans to smaller companies based on the base rate of interest and the supply and demand for loans/money. This cost of production (base rate of interest) will mean you (the moderators) can control the effect lending has on the market, but it will also encourage the highest "level" business owners to play more to control their lending on a higher scale, and smaller companies to grow faster because of cheaper finance.

Also we will never have the problem of the sub-prime crisis because nobody risks going into negative equity! :P

A couple of times I have organised to buy a certain amount of resources from a player every WU which is good because it gives stability for your production and lowers storage costs (like "just in time production" in real life) but for each order you have to accept it which pretty much counteracts the benefits.. I think if you could create a contract system with automatic sending and accepting of resources between players or the market with certain price perameters it would be very beneficial.

yeah totally agree with this. I was so tired of buying and then running out of coffee and cocoa beans for my cafe that i stopped using a cafe altogether this round. also stocking up for the longer term just means added storage costs.

I like this idea. after all most people have some kind of idea as to what resources they want on their map and generate a random one over and over again until it resembles what they want anyway, so as was said it would save on server processing power
