I tried to post a new classified ad this morning but I could not.

I tried Summer Clothes, ql 0, qty 100, 18,000 but I was told that I had exceeded the min/max price.

The classified page would not display the min/max price but a quick visit to my warehouse showed that I was within the limit.

    So, that's the bug.

I'd like to suggest a new page that includes all the pertinent information for a player for one product. I often want to see the following information for one product at one time.

    - my trade history
    - market offers
    - classified ads
    - product and raw-goods warehouse information
    - production information

I can of course, find all this information on 5 separate pages but my monitor is really only big enough to display two pages at a time. Having all this information on one page will make a lot of operations much easier.

Below is a sample page layout.

I saw this button after I posted a classified ad ?( . Puzzled to what it means, I clicked on it. It appears to post an identical copy of the ad you just posted. I really like what this button does, but maybe it should have a new name. I'll suggest one:

    "repeat ad"

The developers tend to be a little tight lipped about how many aspects of the game work. I suppose that keeps the mystery up. :)

Anyway, Stdok once said that the Sude shows not only what is being sold, it also shows how much is in the warehouses waiting to be sold. I suspect this only includes the export warehouses. Anyway, the shrinking over-supply could just be a reflection of warehouse stocks coming down.

Whether those mechanics are accurate or not, is immaterial. What really matters is what you can sell a car for, and you already know that. Now you also know that there is not a direct correlation between the Sude and the price at which a car will sell.

The problem with increasing the reimbursement by 1% for each ql over requested is that sometimes the advertiser doesn't want that. For example, when I advertise for tires I really don't want to spend the extra for higher ql because it will be wasted. I only make ql 0 vehicles so the high ql tires will give me no benefit.

We could have the option of indexing the price to ql, but I wouldn't want that as the only choice.

OK, I just posted a few minutes ago. But I think this idea would be very helpful.

I'd like to see request icons next to products in the production log screen. Having the icons showing product availability in the market was a great help. I think showing classified demand on the production log screen would also be a great help.

I suggest keeping the light/dark boxes on the left of the product name and putting light/dark hands or red/green buttons on the right side.

Thanks for the Classified adds, but there is request that I'd like to make with the ads but can't. Often I want to ask for any ql - max price. If I ask for ql 0 then people with higher ql won't get enough money from me. If I ask for a higher ql, then the ql 0 people can't even accept my ad.

So could you add the option for setting the requested price to "max"? Then when the order if filled I would pay the seller what ever the max price is at that time.

Stdok started a thread in the German section about the problem of motor-cars reaching prices of 300k. He also said a solution might be to find a new way to calculate high-score, or to do away with events.

At least that's what I gathered using google's translation tools :P

    Here's Stdok's original post:
    Highscore und Events

Anyway, I don't see a problem with 300k cars. I happen to be one of the people who paid that price so I could resell them (at a steep loss) in my stores to fix my vendor score. I like the complicated mechanics of IT where unexpected situations arise that would force these sorts of oddities. BTW, the price of a motorcar has dropped to a more reasonable 220k. Since the market really does work well in IT, people saw the potential to make *lots* of money selling the motorcars. Then they made lots of them, then the price dropped. It's just like a real market. Cool.

As far as the events are concerned - I think it's a reflection of how fun the events are rather than their importance for gaining high score that makes them a force in the game. I spend a fair amount of time trying for events, and it only affects my high score by 100-200 points. It usually isn't enough to change my rank by even one space. They are fun to try to get though. BTW, in speed events are completely different. The quantities are smaller so a player can get 3000 points of event manager. Pechteufel did this in one round and got high score because of it!

So, I suggest that you keep the high score the way it is, and keep the events the way they are. Well, I wouldn't mind if you increased the effect of event manager in slow so it actually had an influence on who could win.

Ok, what's the deal with Easter Eggs? I saw them in the portal-products page as a RL 51 item. Now I see them in the newspaper as an item that's needed in Pakistan. So what's the deal? I see that easter eggs are 2% satisfied in the Sude and there they are listed as RL 0.

Anyway I'm not keen of tearing down my buildings to research this product. So, can someone just tell me what's going on?

    -Dave
    One-Stroke

Yes, I'll buy motor cars for more than you can sell them for in your own shop. Why? I'm trying for high score. I make plenty of money but I need help with vendor score and this is a sure fire way to do it. Here's the deal - you get the money and I get the score. Sound good to you?

I'd like to buy 70 motor car per wu. Just make offers and I'll accept them.

    -Dave

The price of aluminum is high and the supply is low, but my demand for it is high. I use about 170/wu and I'll pay max price up to 20,000 for it. Just send it to One-Stroke instead of sending it to the market.

A good way to make some fast money is to buy the bauxite off the market and then turn it into aluminum for me. With bauxite at about 1,000 per unit and aluminum at 20,000 per unit you'll make over 200,000 per square per wu. That's better money than you'll make with any other product below RL 34, even fridge.

I can't select buildings or offers now in firefox. I used to be able to click on the blue background of several buildings or offers to select them. Then I could perform an operation to all of them at the same time. Now, I can't select them anymore. It's quite frustrating.

    The manual states:

"At the end of each game-year, each player receives points for his rankings in the higscores Best-Vendor, Best-Manufacturer and Best-ROI. These points get added and then summed to the overall highscore. Points received for events get added when the event ends.
The points are calculated as follows:
The last player in a highscore list receives 1 point, the second last 2 and so on."

I gather from this that one's score is the sum of their rankings in 3 categories:

    Best Vendor
    Best Manufacturer
    Best ROI

If that's true, then I should be able to correlate higher rank with gaining high score at a greater rate. But I don't find this. So, I'm looking for a little bit better explanation.

I studied the relationship between high score and rank in the three categories over the last two days.

I compared my score with LostCity and Klopfer. When the score was updated this is how the three scores stood:

    One-Stroke LostCity Klopfer
    Best Vendor 6th 447th 9th
    Best Mfg 7th 6th 55th
    Best ROI 8th 11th 25th

From these numbers I would have expected to gain 443 more points of high score than LostCity. Much to my surprise, lostcity gained 2002 points of high score, Klopfer gained 1806 and I only gained 1574! So, not only did I not gain in the high score points, I lost ground to LostCity by 428 points. I was ahead of Klopfer in every category and was out gained by 232 points.

Anyway, I'm trying for high score, and I thought I was doing everything right, but it obviously isn't going according to plan. If anybody could give me some further insight, I'd really appreciate it.

I expect to produce a surplus of car parts for some time. I have engines and car bodies on the market, each for 40,000 each. At this price you'll make better money buying my surplus and selling your extra cars on the market than you would if you made the engines and bodies yourself.

As it turns out, you also have a ready buyer for your extra cars - me!

Why would I offer to let you make more money when I could? Well, I'm going for high score and making more money isn't always the best way to do it. I think selling your cars instead of mine will help my vendor score. So, if you want more money - buy my parts and sell your extra cars.

Since I'm going for high score this round, I'm looking for finished goods for resale. I don't need to make any money off of them, I just need to sell them in my store. So this is a good opportunity for you to make money by selling to me. I'll buy anything that sells in and electronics store or a housewares store. I'll also buy most anything that sells in a car dealer. Below are a list of things that I will pay full price for:

Any item in Electronics except crank telephone. I'll buy crank telephone at the market price.

    Any item in household.

Any item in Car Dealer except Luxury motor-car and Citycar. I'll probably be willing to buy those two items, but not at full price.

Just offer me any of those items at normal price *1.5 and I'll buy them. If you want to sell the luxury motor cars, or citicars, just put them on them on the mkt, or send me a PM asking for a price.

I recently loaded the GFX pack and it works well in the slow game. In the speed game, there are two images that don't show up: 1 the grass image on the build map, and 2 the "1" image for building level.

These images show up in slow, just not in speed.

I set the path to the GFX path a second time, updated my profile, logged out, and logged in again. But this didn't fix it.

    Hey Admin,

The Wiki shows the SSAW for Motor-Car as 3 3 3 3 on the Automotive page, but it shows it as 5 5 5 5 on the Motor-Car page. I think it would be clearer if you always showed these values for SW = 100 because that's the number that all the calculations are based on.

I'm looking for steel, copper wire, and plastic. I'll pay max price up to 10,000 fore each of them. I'll need these materials through the end of the round in large quantities. I'll buy any ql.

This is a great way to make a lot of money without paying to climb the RL tree.

BTW, supplying materials is also good for score because you get manufacturing points for materials without loosing any vendor points.

I'm having trouble with a low manufacturer score so I'm making extra electronic components. I expect to run a surplus in components for some time so you should be able to count on finding some in the market place.

Right now the market price for components is amazingly low. Since I want to run a surplus for a long time I expect the price will stay low enough for you to make more money making radios than you would if you made them yourself.
