    Sorry for late response. Jik computer break and new (Vista) computer not work with old dialup internet service provider.

    This is formula Jik use for max shop price:

    1.5N * ( 1 + 0.00658Q )

    where N is SUDE normal price and Q is QL.

    This only work while product is fresh (SUDE supply not much over 100%). When product get stale (SUDE supply way over 100%), price come down fast. While product fresh, shop sell max quantity in every season, but when stale, seasonality have effect.

    ========================================

    Jik email IT team and they authorize post formula:

    "it is not forbidden.
    Is your formula correctly, you can post it in the forum.
    The formula was written in the gamechat."

    Okay, will email support. Not do PM or chat.

    Your formula give much higher price than Jik's. Jik not check formula for several rounds. Will experiment again. If your formula work, then use it, but experiment this round, so you can start next round with confidence. (That is, if you have any fresh products with nonzero QL. Jik will try Colour TV.)

    Trying to get permission from stdok. IT not seem to have direct feedback method to contact game managers. Poster named Quaser say formula has been posted in chat and German. Maybe he will tell you, and Jik will comment. Rules (English language) are confusing to Jik and not sure what is permitted.

    You should try to find out before next round, so you get best price in shops and fastest exponential growth of number of buildings. Do QL research now of level 0 finished goods of industry you will start with next round.

    Scorekeeping is mystery for English speakers, but help Overall-highscore by balance Best-Vendor and Best-Manufacturer. Make profit from manufacture finished goods and sell in own shops. Improve Best-Vendor by buy finished goods in market and resell in own shops, usually at loss. Just do one each of shops for which you not manufacture goods, so not run through inventory too fast. Check Best-Vendor score (not rank) every tick and add shops until start to go up. Textile and Grocery are best shops to start with, since finished goods plentiful in market. (If manufacture a lot, may have to do more than one of some shops. Jik used to have 10-20 side shops to offset car manufacture, but this round able to buy cars in market to support Best-Vendor.)

    No, that's not right. Jik have rule of thumb formula, but not sure if allowed to post. Maybe players supposed to experiment for themselves.

    Announcement for new round (# 9) say:

    =============================================
    The first world update for round #9 will be at February 1st 2006, 12 am (CET).
    =============================================

    This mean noon on Feb 1 rather than midnight, right?

    It is now 9th month (hour) of new round, so these stats were achieved in 8th month. Is it possible to have sales of 12 million so early, or is there bug or problem with database?

    The TOP companies of the month
    The company Sven und Dani GmbH & Co KG has increased goodwill by 99.67% this month. Followed by Weimar GmbH with 14.57% and firma0816 GbR with 12.7%.

    At the big business concerns the company Sven und Dani GmbH & Co KG has reached a gross turnover of 12.912.432 this month. Followed by firma0816 GbR with 690.000 and Jikco SP with 562.197.

    WWF say: <My best guess is that the "Best-Vendor" points and "Best-Manufacturer" points are summed over a different set of products.
    Can anyone shed some light on what products these scores are summed over?>

    Jik can't figure out scores, but, by trial and error, if sell all your manufactured goods in own shops and run another 10-20 shops just for resell goods bought in market, can get positive results in both vending and manufacturing. Must usually resell goods at loss, sacrificing net worth for better vendor rating.

    Jik wonder, is any point to sales on newspaper screen? Do they affect any score but Best-Eventmanager? Not affect Alltime-Charts, right?

    WWF say: <You get a placement point in each category for how far from the bottom you are in the list. If you are the last in the list, you get 1 placement point. If you are tenth from the bottom you get 10 placement points. If you are first, then the number of placement points you get is the same as the number of people on the list. These placement points are added to your "Overall-highscore" once every twelve months.>

    If this true, then player whose strategy fail to keep vending and manufacturing in balance continuously is doomed to mediocre Overall-highscore. But can make more money by emphasize manufacturing first, then catch up in vending. Can't catch up in Overall-highscore, but get better finish in sub-categories, which are only results to survive round, as Jik understand Alltime-Charts. Is Overall-highscore really object of game?

    Sold 600 luxury motor cars as forward transaction on Newspaper screen. Got better price than expected, so didn't have to sacrifice much net worth, although shops routine disrupted for 20 hours.

    Transaction volume
    Stores: 55.290.548
    Trading: 262.217.700
    Total revenue: 317.508.248

    Number of items offered for sale is proportional to "shopping worth". This start at 100 and can vary between 25 and 150. Shopping worth is adjusted each tick by +5 for each fully supplied (and reasonably priced) item, -2 for each unsupplied item, and some adjustment Jik not sure of for partially supplied items.

    For example, if shop sell 10 items and you fully supply 3 of them and not supply the other 7, shopping worth will change by:

    3 x (+5) + 7 x (-2) = +1

    When shopping worth get to 150, shop offer 50% more items than originally, rounded off to integer.

    Also, each upgrade increase number of items offered by 5%, so max 10 upgrades increase number offered by 50%.

    Membership over 1400 for a while. Is 1500 the max permitted?

    Market has worked pretty well recently. Enough players have advanced in level research and capacity to supply necessary materials. Still no high end consumer products, though, like colour TV, RC car, etc. Recommend higher prices next round, so players can advance faster. Only about a week left in this round, and most players haven't completed strategic development.

    Relatively a lot of steel now, about 16k units in market, although this is less than 5 hours worth for car industry alone, based on Jik using 500 a tick and having maybe 15% of car market. While steel was scarce, demolished some factories in favor of research facilities and shops for reselling market goods from non-car industries. Also changed product mix to use less steel, more aluminum. Then aluminum got scarce, so swung back to more steel, but still less than the 800 a tick once needed.

    Sent out messages, and got some offers, which always accepted. Not sure how much effect Jik had on market, because only contacted about 30 players plus whoever read this forum. Would have liked shoutbox for everyone online, instead of message one at a time.

    Nice to see membership back up over 1300. Next round would like to see SUDE normal prices a little higher, so players can research levels faster. This round was tough for players who got slow start, because as shop prices fell for low level products, they fell ever further behind players who advanced early and could make higher margin products.
